Online safety and digital citizenship are at the core of all learning activities using technology. Teachers at each grade level are responsible for teaching a set of digital citizenship lessons created by Common Sense Education. District training follows the requirements for compliance with CIPA and restricts staff access to harmful materials, unauthorized disclosures, or dissemination of personal information. 

OUSD’s digital citizenship program focuses on the following themes:
