The 2025-2026 TK & Kindergarten enrollment window will open on December 16, 2024 at 9:00 am. All students new to Orinda Union School District must enroll through our online application process. Students currently attending TK in Orinda schools do not have to enroll as new Kindergarteners. They will be automatically enrolled in the following grade level.

Orinda USD strictly follows the California Education Code on age eligibility for entry to TK and Kindergarten programs. Please carefully read the age eligibility requirements below.
You must enroll your student at the age-appropriate grade level per the guidelines listed below.
2024-2025 School Year
Transitional Kindergarten (TK):
- Children who turn five years of age on or between September 2, 2024 and June 2, 2025 may enroll in the TK program.
Kindergarten (K):
- Children who turn give years of age on or before September 1, 2024 are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten,
2025-2026 School Year
Transitional Kindergarten (TK):
- Children who turn four years of age on or before September 1, 2025 are eligible to enroll in the TK program.
Kindergarten (K):
- Children who turn five years of age on or before September 1, 2025 are eligible to enroll in the Kindergarten program.
